Size 10 – here I come!
This is going to be a big week for me.
First off, today I begin my SlimIn6 program. Yeah, I caved. I had seen the P90X infomercials, along with the SlimIn6 and had started to think that it might be something I could do. I mentioned it on Twitter one day, and my cousin was all for it! I knew that he was big into the P90X stuff, but it was only then that I found out that he was also a ‘coach’ with them!
It took some convincing, but I did it. I ordered the program and patiently waited for it’s arrival.
I went grocery shopping over the weekend, so that I would have the appropriate foods on hand. So far, so good. There were a few things I couldn’t find – non fat cheese was the worst for me. I absolutely *love* cheese. For me to not have cheese on say, a Turkey Sandwich, is just unheard of in my life! I’ll have to check in at a local health food store or something, but I’ll survive in the meantime.
When I got to work today, I happened to look through my planner and found that a while back, I had made a note about the SparkPeople website. I took a look at it and remembered why I made the note! It was such a cool site to see!
I asked a co-worker about it, (she uses it on and off), to get an opinion about it all and she thought it was great! She suggested that I really take some time to play around with all of the options, and I’m really glad that I did. I posted my first blog there, which is pretty much an edited version of this one.
I feel like I will be able to use this website even after my SlimIn6 program is over. For that, I am grateful, because I don’t usually stick to things if I don’t get that ‘warm & fuzzy’ feeling from the get go. I’m hoping that it all works out.. I did the whole South Beach thing for a while. I did lose some weight, but I’m hoping this works out better in the long run. If not, I may just have to try the SoBe thing again! Wish me luck!
